Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View, CA

The Shoreline Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue for concerts, festivals, comedy shows, and other gatherings in Mountain View, California. With 6,500 reserved seats and space for 16,000 on the lawn, the open air venue features a great sound system and widescreens. The venue is designed to resemble the Grateful Dead’s “steal your face” logo.

Since its development and opening in 1986 as part of the Shoreline Park project, it has hosted performances from acts like the Dave Matthews Band and the Bee Gees along with festivals such as Lollapalooza, Mayhem Festival, Vans Warped Tour, and many others.

General parking fees are included in the ticket price. Paid VIP parking is also available for hired limos and buses. Shoreline also has a carpool shuttle, which is more reliable and convenient when entering and exiting the venue. Tailgating is not allowed in the venue.

Cans, bottles, and alcoholic drinks are not allowed with the exception of sealed water bottles. Patrons may bring soft coolers, but hard box coolers are not permitted. Low-back lawn chairs are allowed. Tape recorders, personal cameras, video cameras, flash photography, and removable lens cameras are not allowed without approval from venue management. Umbrellas are not allowed. Instead, rain coats and rain jackets are encouraged in case of rainy weather.

Spend time before or after the event at some of the attractions in Mountain View. Visit the Computer History Museum or let the kids play around with the Google Android Lawn Statues. For a longer stay, find more attractions in the near by cities of San Jose and San Francisco. Outdoor activities await in the Shoreline Lake Boathouse & American Bistro and Shoreline Golf Links at Mountain View.
