One of the largest indoor sports and entertainment venues in Canada, Rogers Centre is the home of the MLB’s Toronto Blue Jays, the first and only team outside of the United States to win the World Series. Formerly known as the SkyDome, Rogers Centre opened in 1989. Aside from the Blue Jays home games, it’s played host to a number of events including several major high school and collegiate sporting competitions, Wrestlemania, Disney On Ice, circuses and concerts.

Rogers Centre is best known for its fully retractable roof composed of four panels, which covers an area of 345,000 square feet. This allows fans to enjoy events and games, rain or shine. It has five levels with a seating capacity of nearly 50,000. It has numerous concession stands located on all levels, two sit-down dining options and three bars. It also boasts the largest team store in Canada, the Jays Shop Stadium Edition. Fans can take a behind-the-scenes tour of Rogers Centre daily, stadium schedule permitting.

Rogers Centre has five underground parking lots, and there are six parking lots within walking distance. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from Union Station, a major railway station and intermodal transportation hub in Toronto. There are more than 20 hotels located within a 1-mile radius of the venue, and nearby attractions include Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, Harbourfront Centre and the Air Canada Centre.
