Ascend Amphitheater is an open-air venue that was built over an old landfill along the Cumberland River in Nashville, Tennessee. The LEED-certified venue hosts music concerts from an array of famous acts such as Dave Matthews, Bastille, Jimmy Buffett, Foreigner and The Nashville Symphony, along with non-musical events like an evening under the stars with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

There is reserved seating and general admission in the lawn area, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Low-back lawn chairs may be allowed in the venue. All shows take place rain or shine, except for cases of extremely severe weather and natural disasters, or artist cancellations.

The venue is accessible by bicycle, kayak from Shelby Park, taking the MTA bus, riding the Music City Star or private car. There are downtown parking lots nearby and a limited number of VIP parking spaces available at an additional fee.

All bags are subject to inspection upon entry. Sealed bottles of drinking water up to one gallon may be allowed. Small snack items should be placed in clear Ziploc bags. Disposable cameras, camera phones and small digital cameras are allowed, but professional cameras and video cameras are prohibited.
