A football stadium located in Kansas City, Missouri, Arrowhead Stadium is home to the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. The stadium opened in 1972, just in time for the NFL season. The first preseason game held in the stadium was between the Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals, which the Chiefs won. Aside from the Chiefs’ home games, the stadium has hosted two Drum Corps International World Championships, the Border Showdown from 2007 to 2011, five Big 12 Conference football championship games, and the annual Fall Classic at Arrowhead. The stadium is known as one of the loudest stadiums in the country, second only to CenturyLink Field, which is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the loudest outdoor sports stadium.

Arrowhead Stadium has a total capacity of 76,416. The stadium boasts two high-definition video displays that were retrofitted into the existing football-shaped displays. It also has 1,625 feet of digital ribbon board technology, and a multimillion-dollar integrated system from Daktronics. On its lower-level concourse, you’ll find the 28,000-square-foot Chiefs Hall of Honor, which highlights great teams and players, as well as artifacts from the Chiefs’ history. If you want to learn more about the stadium, guided tours are available Fridays and Saturdays year-round. The stadium is part of Harry S. Truman Sports Complex, which has more than 19,000 parking spaces for cars, and 400 for buses. Visitors are recommended to pre-pay parking, come early and enjoy tailgating. Arrowhead Stadium is known for its fantastic tailgating experience.

Arrowhead Stadium is located in Kansas City, Missouri. The stadium opened in August of 1972, which makes it one of the oldest venues in the National Football League. But even though Arrowhead Stadium is a bit aged, this does not stop fans from relishing every moment that they get to spend inside. Over the years Arrowhead Stadium has become known as one of the best places to watch a football game. Not only are the sightlines of the field great from every seat in the house, but the atmosphere is also quite exciting.

The Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL are one of two teams that play their home games at Arrowhead Stadium. They began playing their in 1972 when the stadium opened, and have done so ever since.
