Providence Park Bag Policy & Prohibited Items

Providence Park enforces a clear bag policy at all events, and it's recommended that fans avoid bringing bags if they can. If bringing a bag is necessary, there is a bag check service available on Morrison Avenue, across from Gate D, for a fee of $10. Annual Members of Portland Timbers and Thorns can avail of a 50% discount by presenting their Annual Membership card, located on their match ticket. If bringing a bag to Providence Park is essential, please adhere to these rules:

  • Clear bags, no larger than 14″ x 14″ x 6″, are permitted.
  • Acceptable bags include those made of clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC, and one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags. Clear backpacks meeting the size restriction, with no more than two pockets, are also permitted.
  • Non-clear purses, clutches, and wallets must be 4.5” x 6.5” or smaller. These can be brought in addition to one clear bag.
  • Other permissible items include seat cushions without pockets, zippered compartments, or extra straps. Medically necessary items, including diaper bags, are allowed following an inspection. Clear bags can also be purchased at the stadium if needed.

What to Bring to Providence Park

When you come to an event at Providence Park, make sure to bring your ticket and a valid ID, especially if you intend to purchase alcohol. We recommend bringing a credit or debit card and also some cash. Because this is an outdoor venue, it can get a little cold during the winter months (and sometimes year round), so we recommend checking the weather report to consider bringing extra layers and maybe even a blanket. Plus, it might be worth it to carry a rain jacket or poncho just in case the weather changes.
