Guaranteed Rate Field is the home of Major League Baseball’s Chicago White Sox
. It opened in 1991 as Comiskey Park with the White Sox battling the Detroit Tigers
. The “new” Comiskey Park replaced the old ballpark of the same name, which was the home of the White Sox for 81 years. The name of the park was changed to US Cellular Field, and in 2016, it was renamed Guaranteed Rate Field. Bleacher Report has consistently ranked Guaranteed Rate Field as one of the most home run-friendly ballparks in MLB.
Guaranteed Rate Field has undergone a number of renovations since its opening to keep it up-to-date. The seating capacity was reduced to 40,000, ensuring that everyone enjoys an unobstructed view of the field. The stadium houses 103 luxury suites, as well as 1,822 club seats. Its latest renovation was the replacement of the existing video and scoreboards on the left, center and right field. Guaranteed Rate Field is an attraction by itself. It features murals and statues of the White Sox’s prominent figures and players, a Rain Room, a Fan Deck, Scout Seats, Old Comiskey Park's Home Plate, Fundamentals Deck, Kraft Cave, Speed Pitch Machines, the White Sox Champions Brick Plaza and the Chicago Sports Depot.
