The home stadium of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and the Miami Hurricanes from the University of Miami, Hard Rock Stadium opened in 1987 with the Miami Dolphins playing against the Chicago Bears. It was then known as the Joe Robbie Stadium, and had undergone a number of name changes including Pro Player Stadium, Dolphins Stadium, Land Shark Stadium and Sun Life Stadium, until it was named Hard Rock Stadium in 2016. Hard Rock Stadium is a multipurpose football stadium that has hosted a number of sports and entertainment events including five Super Bowls, two World Series, four BCS National Championship Games, WrestleMania XXVIII, soccer games, tradeshows, religious gatherings and numerous live concerts by famous music artists.

Hard Rock Stadium has a seating capacity of 65,326. The stadium has undergone a number of renovations since its opening, the latest of which began in 2015. Hard Rock Stadium now features a state-of-the-art open-air canopy, 1,472-inch screens in each corner, all-new audio system, a new LED lighting system, and a first-of-its-kind fiber optic system. Lower stands were also reconfigured, and the upper corner sections were reduced to accommodate four new large screens. There are plenty of dining options in the stadium showcasing the local food culture, as well as the usual ballpark fare such as burgers and hotdogs. There are a number of parking lots surrounding the stadium, and you may tailgate directly behind your vehicle. Hard Rock Stadium has partnered with Uber, making it easier for fans to get a ride to and from the stadium.

Thousands of fans trek to the stadium for games and events, and knowing the basic policies of Hard Rock Stadium ensures that you enjoy a hassle-free experience. One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and does not exceed 12” by 6” and 12” or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag can be brought into the stadium. Fans can bring in smart phones, binoculars and cameras. Offensive, inappropriate and rowdy behavior will result in ejection from the stadium.
