Robyn is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer who first stepped onto the scene in 1989. Her mainstream debut would come in 1995 with the release of her first album Robyn Is Here, which went on to produce two Billboard Hot 100 Top Ten singles with “Do You Know (What It Takes)” and “Show Me Love.” After releasing her second and third albums in Sweden, Robyn returned to international success with the release of her fourth album Robyn in 2005, earning her a Grammy nomination and spawning the singles “Be Mine!” and “With Every Heartbeat,” the latter of which reached the number one spot in the UK. In 2010 she returned with a trilogy of mini albums known as the Body Talk series. The project received widespread critical acclaim, earning three Grammy nominations and producing three Top Ten singles. Robyn’s pop style has influenced several rising artists in recent years including Lorde, Poppy, Charli XCX, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
