Florida Everblades

Kelly green has meant winning hockey in Southwest Florida since 1998, and the 2025-26 campaign pushed that reputation further with a 49-13-7-3 record, 108 points, and the South Division crown. Head coach Brad Ralph is back behind the bench, and the Florida Everblades Roster returns forward Isaac Nurse, whose double-overtime goal closed out the championship series in June 2026. The ECHL Affiliate of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins

Every ECHL club sits on the third rung of a development ladder that runs up through the American Hockey League to the NHL, and Estero's rung changed hands in July 2026. Pittsburgh named Florida its ECHL partner for 2026-27, ending a 29-year tie with the Wheeling Nailers and slotting the Blades directly beneath the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Goaltender Gabriel D'Aigle, on an entry-level deal with Pittsburgh, arrived in a trade that same summer.

Florida Everblades at Hertz Arena

Twin 200-by-85 sheets, 12 locker rooms, and a main bowl that holds 7,084 for hockey make this Estero building unusual for a minor league home, and an on-site sports pub gives fans a spot for a game-night meal. Opened in November 1998, it also hosts concerts and family shows. Check the Hertz Arena seating chart to see how close the lower rows sit to the glass.

Florida Everblades Schedule

Seventy-two regular season contests fill the 2026-27 slate, a grind that runs from October into April, and Florida Everblades games against the Orlando Solar Bears carry the most weight in the South Division. The in-state pair meets several times a year, and Florida opens the season at home in October 2026, with the 2026 Kelly Cup banner rising to the rafters before puck drop.

Florida Everblades Kelly Cup Playoffs

Five Kelly Cups, four of them in the past five seasons, give this franchise more championships than any club in league history. The 2026 run finished on the road in Independence, Missouri, where Florida trailed Kansas City 4-1 entering the third period of Game 6, scored three times in the final 8:41 of regulation, then won 5-4 in double overtime. Cam Johnson took his third playoff MVP award, a first for any player.

A banner goes up in October, a Penguins pipeline starts feeding new prospects into the lineup, and the defending champions still have Ralph drawing up the shifts. Add a rink small enough that you hear the boards rattle from the upper rows, and a night in Estero delivers playoff-caliber hockey without the drive to a big-league city.
