Cadence Bank Amphitheatre At Chastain Park - Atlanta, GA

One of Atlanta’s most historic outdoor venues, Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park is nestled within the 268-acre Chastain Memorial Park in the affluent Buckhead neighborhood. The park is named after Troy Green Chastain, a local commissioner who wanted to create the largest recreational park in the city. Open since 1944, the amphitheater attracts more than 200,000 spectators during the summer months.

Aside from the amphitheater, the park features the North Fulton Golf Course, a clubhouse, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a gymnasium, tennis courts, jogging trails, a baseball field, an equestrian center and a playground.

The 6,900-seat amphitheater was built around a natural bowl area in the park, which gives each seat an unobstructed view of the stage. Its fantastic sound system ensures that everyone, even those seated farthest from the stage, enjoys the same sound quality. Concerts usually start by sundown, providing concertgoers the experience of watching a concert under the stars. The venue is open only during summer months, and concertgoers are encouraged to bring a rain poncho or umbrella in case of inclement weather. Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park exudes a friendly and laid-back atmosphere, and patrons seated on the lawn are allowed to bring blankets and small coolers for refreshments, unless prohibited by the concert organizer. Concession stands are set up inside for some events.

Located about 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, the park is accessible from I-285 by going south off the Roswell Road exit or from I-75N from Atlanta. It has four parking lots where spots can be prepurchased.
