The subscription season plays out at Belle Mehus Auditorium, the 833-seat hall that opened in 1914 at 6th Street and Broadway in downtown Bismarck, sits on the National Register of Historic Places, and came back from a mid-1990s restoration. It took its current name in 1989, after a Bismarck music teacher, and served the city as its main auditorium for decades. The 2026-27 season carries the title Echoes of Humanity. Great Expectations closes things out on April 10, 2027. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. across the season, with doors an hour earlier.

Fifty years on from its founding, the association still mounts a full symphonic season in a room that predates it by six decades. The scale is the argument. Sit anywhere in that hall and the players are close enough to watch individually, which is a different proposition from a concert hall built for three thousand. The programming assumes an audience willing to sit with something it has not heard before. Browse the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra season at Event Tickets Center.
