The Beach Boys is an American rock/surf rock band from Hawthorne, California. They are considered one of America’s greatest rock bands of all time. Having sold more than a hundred million records worldwide, they are one of the best-selling bands in history, and they were listed in Rolling Stone’s 2004 list “The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time”.
Inspired by musicians like Chuck Berry, The Ventures, and Dick Dale, The Beach Boys crafted their unique style of rock, doo-wop, surf, and pop into their instantly identifiable trademark sound. Their influence can be heard in many modern artists, and their production techniques were revolutionary in the sixties and seventies.
