AJ McLean built his name as a founding member of the Backstreet Boys, one of the best-selling boy bands in history, before stepping into a new chapter under the name Alexander James. His debut solo album, My Name Is Alexander James, arrived in January 2026 and marks his most personal project since joining the group in 1992. Live, McLean pairs stripped-down acoustic moments with the same energy that built his career as a performer. AJ McLean Tour Dates

The AJ Mclean tour opens October 20, 2026, at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York, marking his first headlining solo run under the Alexander James name. The Better Man Tour spans more than two dozen dates through the fall and winter, including a stop at Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, California, in January 2027. In between, the route covers theaters and clubs across the East Coast, Midwest, and South before heading west. Each show pairs songs from his debut solo album with moments drawn from his three decades in music.

AJ McLean Set List and Concert Info

Live setlists for AJ McLean have not caught up to the new solo material, so the clearest reference point is a July 2024 show at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, from his A Legendary Night run with Joey Fatone. That set leaned on nostalgia, including "I Want It That Way," "Larger Than Life," "Pop," "I Want You Back," and "Tearin' Up My Heart," pulled from the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC catalogs rather than original solo work. The Better Man Tour is expected to trade those nostalgia numbers for the more personal material from his debut solo album.
