The O'Connell Center is located in Gainesville, Florida, and serves as the home court for the University of Florida Gators basketball teams. The official name of this venue is the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. In addition to the O'Connell Center, many fans also call the venue the "O-Dome."

The O'Connell Center opened for business in December of 1980. Although this is not the newest venue in the Southeastern Conference, it is far from being the oldest. And when it comes to conference venues with the best fan atmosphere, there are not many that offer more than the O'Connell Center.

The seating capacity at the O'Connell Center is 12,000. This is surprisingly small by conference standards, but all in all, it is plenty big enough to give the Gators the home court advantage.

The O'Connell Center has been going strong for more than 25 years, and it is safe to say that this is not going to stop anytime in the near future.
