National Theatre - Washington, DC
The National Theatre opened its doors in 1835. As you can imagine, this makes it one of the oldest theatres of its type in the United States. It is a little known fact that the National Theatre has been rebuilt on several occasions. In fact, it was rebuilt after destroyed by fire on five different occasions.
The National Theatre is used for a variety of live stage productions, including Broadway musicals, on a regular basis. The seating capacity at the venue is 1,676.
All in all, the National Theatre is in the heart of the action, and has a lot to offer both locals and traveling tourists.
