For over 100 years, the Lane County Fair in Eugene, Oregon has been an annual mid-summer tradition. From thrilling rides and carnival games to county exhibits and delicious fair food, it has something for everyone. Whether you live in or around Eugene or are just visiting for the weekend, be sure to check out the fun happening this year!
This annual festival has been a staple of the Eugene community for more than 150 years and is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Oregon. It brings together people from all over to celebrate local agriculture and livestock in a way that is fun for all ages. With carnival rides and entertainment, concerts, tractor pulls, and delicious food, it is a great opportunity to enjoy an old-fashioned county fair experience and make some great new memories.
Forget the fair, there is so much more to the city of Eugene. Located in beautiful southern Oregon, Eugene is the second-largest city in the state with a population of more than 159,000. Its beauty lies in its charming downtown core, plus diverse neighborhoods and structures that have a unique urban backdrop against rolling hills and well-maintained parks. The natural sites here helped create Oregon's first Urban National Forest making it a perfect destination for sightseers who love biking and hiking. Spend some time outdoors at Spencer Butte where you can get stunning views of Willamette Valley or rent rowboats to explore Owen Rose Garden’s ponds––a favorite spot amongst locals looking for relaxation from their daily hustle. If you want to see what Eugene has to offer, make time for Saturday Market where you find one-of-a-kind items handmade by local artisans amongst music performances that usually draw an audience of over 7,000 people each month.
