Why You Need to See Half Alive Live
Long Beach, CA native rockers Half Alive emerged in 2016 with a distinct style that set them apart from their peers. Founded by frontman Josh Taylor (formerly of the Moderates), the trio released their debut EP 3 in 2017, instantly garnering millions of online streams on the strength of hit singles “The Fall” and “Awake at Night.” Half Alive released their third single “Still Feel” and its accompanying viral music video in the summer of 2018, followed by a second single, “Arrow,” in 2019. Half Alive’s style and sound has been described as indie pop, pop, and alt-rock. The trio has cited film and psychology as some of their influences, as well as artists like Chance the Rapper, Tyler, the Creator, Sufjan Stevens, Christine and the Queens, Kimbra, and Vulfpeck.
