A session player long before he was a band member, Fred Tackett spent the 1970s and 1980s on recordings by Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Jimmy Webb, and Bonnie Raitt, then joined Little Feat's reunion lineup in 1987. Guitar, mandolin, and trumpet all sit within his range, which keeps his live sets from settling into one lane for very long. Audiences get blues, country, and New Orleans rhythm filtered through decades of studio work. Track down Fred Tackett tour dates at Event Tickets Center.

Fred Tackett Tour Dates

Touring as an acoustic duo with Little Feat bandmate Scott Sharrard, the pair work through the East Coast in December 2026 before a western leg that opens at Belly Up in Solana Beach, California, and closes at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, California, in February 2027. A taping at the Culture Center Theater in Charleston, West Virginia, places them on Mountain Stage, and stops in between include Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown and The Guild Theatre in Menlo Park. The two guitarists first played as a duo at the Egyptian Theatre in Park City, Utah, in 2026.

Fred Tackett Setlist and Concert Info

Two acoustic guitars, two voices, and a running thread of stories shape these shows, with material drawn from the duo's 2026 album Honest Men and the Little Feat songbook. "Roll Um Easy" is the record's only outside song, a Lowell George tune the pair performed for a video shared ahead of the September 2026 release. Tackett's own writing carries "Fool Yourself," which he handed to Little Feat for Dixie Chicken years before joining the band, plus "Church Falling Down" and "Dance to the Radio." Sharrard adds "My Only True Friend," co-written with Gregg Allman.

Stripped to two players, the swamp boogie arrangements that built this catalog since 1969 sound very different, and the songs written with Lowell George and Gregg Allman land in rooms small enough to catch every aside between numbers. With Little Feat easing out of the road life that defined it, a night built around Honest Men is a rare look at the writing underneath all of it.
