Last name “ever,” first name “greatest.” Record-breaking Canadian rapper Drake has come a long way from his acting days on the hit TV show, Degrassi: The Next Generation. He started making music in 2006 with the release of his first mixtape, Room for Improvement. By 2009, he was on the rise, his third mixtape So Far Gone earning him a Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year and garnering a massive online following. Drake’s first full-length album came in 2010 with Thank Me Later, which included collaborations with several prominent hip hop artists including Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. It became Drake’s first number one album. Following the release of Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late mixtape in 2015, fourteen tracks charted on the Hot 100, matching the record set by The Beatles. Drizzy has built up a record-breaking run of 430 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. From the time "Best I Ever Had" entered the listing in 2009, the Toronto native was on every Hot 100 as either the lead artist or in a featured role until 2017. Drake has won three Grammy Awards, three Juno Awards and six American Music Awards. He’s also earned a record thirteen Billboard Music Awards and is one of the best-selling rappers of the 21st century.
Recently, the Canadian rapper has announced plans to co-headline a massive tour alongside rap trio Migos. “Aubrey and The Three Amigos” will be touring in a city near you, so don’t miss out!
