Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego, CA

Copley Symphony Hall is located in San Diego, California. Since opening in 1929, this venue has been hosting events and shows while also attracting tens of thousands of annual visitors. Upon opening, Copley Symphony Hall was known as the Fox Theatre. It was built for $2.5 million, and at the time was used mainly as an upscale movie theater.

In 1984, the San Diego Symphony began to use the hall for performances. With 68,000 square feet of space, it is safe to say that Copley Symphony Hall is plenty big enough to host any even that the San Diego Symphony is interested in putting on. In fact, this hall has become one of the centerpieces of the city thanks to its French Rococo style, good looks, and busy atmosphere.

The seating capacity at Copley Symphony Hall is 2,252. This is the perfect size for a symphony hall, and in most cases it does not have any trouble selling out; especially for more popular shows put on by the San Diego Symphony.

With a rich history and modern day success, Copley Symphony Hall is always a busy venue in San Diego, California.
