BTS, the K-pop band, stands together. One member throws a peace sign.

BTS is taking the highly anticipated ARIRANG World Tour to California this weekend for three shows at Stanford Stadium. Here’s everything you need to know heading into these concert dates. Find out when to arrive, what to expect, and how to find last-minute tickets you can trust.

BTS ARIRANG Tour Schedule

The ARIRANG tour started in Seoul and Tokyo before having its first United States stop in Tampa. The world tour will eventually stop in over 30 cities throughout North America, Asia, Europe, and South America.

After Stanford, BTS will continue the North American leg of the tour with additional stadium dates in cities like Chicago, Toronto, and Los Angeles before heading overseas later this summer. The Stanford concerts mark the group’s third United States tour stop and one of the biggest stadium runs of the tour.

What to Expect: BTS at Stanford Stadium

BTS will perform at Stanford Stadium on May 16, 17, and 19. The concerts are expected to draw massive crowds from across California and beyond, with fans traveling in from all over the West Coast for the shows.

Stanford Stadium is located on Stanford University’s campus near Palo Alto, making it accessible from both San Francisco International Airport and San Jose Mineta International Airport. Fans planning to drive should note that prepaid parking passes are required for stadium lots, and heavy traffic is expected before and after each concert date.

When to Arrive at the BTS Tour

Parking lots for the concerts open at 1:30 PM, while early VIP parking lots begin opening at 8 AM for select passholders. External merchandise stands open at 9 AM, and VIP check-in starts at 9:30 AM. Stadium gates officially open at 4:30 PM, with the concert scheduled to begin at 7 PM.

Fans hoping to purchase merch, secure ARMY bombs, or trade freebies with other fans should plan to arrive several hours early. Large crowds are expected throughout the day, especially around merchandise trailers and photo-op areas outside the stadium.

BTS official light sticks, known as ARMY bombs, are permitted inside the venue and will also be sold on-site. Fans can bring light sticks into the stadium, though previous tour versions may not sync with the current ARIRANG production.

Bag Policy

Stanford Stadium has a strict clear bag policy for all guests attending the concerts. Approved bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and cannot exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” x 2” are also permitted.

Fans with larger bags or non-approved bags will need to return them to their vehicles or use one of the stadium’s bag check locations before entering. Guests should also expect metal detectors and security screening at all entrances.

Professional cameras, selfie sticks, banners, flags, and large signs are prohibited inside Stanford Stadium. Non-professional cameras with lenses shorter than six inches are permitted.

Freebie Policy

Freebies remain a huge part of BTS concert culture, and fans attending the Stanford dates are expected to continue the tradition. Handmade bracelets, photocards, keychains, stickers, and other small fan-made gifts are commonly exchanged before the show.

Stanford Stadium has stated that on-site giveaway items will be permitted inside the venue, as long as they comply with bag and prohibited item policies. Fans planning to hand out freebies should make sure everything can fit inside an approved clear bag or small clutch.

Tour Openers

BTS is not using traditional opening acts for the ARIRANG World Tour. Instead, the concerts feature cinematic VCR interludes and pre-recorded visual sequences between acts. This allows the group to maximize stage time and perform an extensive multi-act setlist throughout the night.

Tour Setlist

The ARIRANG World Tour is divided into three acts and has featured a rotating selection of songs during the encore portion of the show. While the setlist can change slightly from night to night, fans attending the Stanford concerts can expect a mix of newer tracks, remixes, and classic BTS hits.

Act 1

  • "Hooligan"
  • "Aliens"
  • "Run BTS" (remix)
  • "they don't know 'bout us"
  • "Like Animals"
  • "FAKE LOVE" (Rockin' Vibe mix elements)
  • "SWIM"
  • "Merry Go Round"

Act 2

  • "2.0"
  • "NORMAL"
  • "Not Today" (remix)
  • "MIC Drop" (Steve Aoki remix)
  • "FYA"
  • "Fire" (remix)
  • "Body to Body"
  • "IDOL" (Stadium remix elements)

Act 3

  • "Come Over"
  • "Butter"
  • "Dynamite"
  • Rotating surprise songs such as "Save ME," "Dope," or "Mikrokosmos"
  • "Crystal Snow" or "I Need U"
  • "Please"
  • "Into the Sun"

Because the tour is still early in its run, there’s always the possibility of additional songs or special surprises during the Stanford performances.
