Jacksonville IceMen

Professional hockey arrived in Jacksonville in 2017, and the ECHL club has turned Northeast Florida into the league's loudest market. Competing in the Eastern Conference's South Division, the team led the ECHL in attendance for a fourth straight season in 2025-26, averaging 9,198 fans per game. The ECHL Affiliate of the Iowa Wild

Development is the whole point of the ECHL, where young pros sharpen their game two rungs below the National Hockey League. In May 2026, the IceMen announced a new affiliation with the Minnesota Wild and their American Hockey League club, replacing the club's previous partnership with the Buffalo Sabres. Fans who follow Iowa Wild tickets will see some of the same prospects, since Minnesota funnels players who need pro seasoning through Jacksonville before they move up the ladder.

Jacksonville IceMen at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena

Opened in 2003 near the downtown sports complex, the building seats 13,141 for hockey, which is why the crowd noise carries the way it does on a Saturday night. Sightlines stay strong from the lower bowl, and the concourses move quickly between periods. Scan the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena upcoming events listings, and you will find theme nights, school day games, and military appreciation weekends mixed into the hockey calendar.

Jacksonville IceMen Schedule

The ECHL season is made up of 72 games, which are split evenly between home and road for the IceMen, whose 2026-27 campaign runs from October 2026 into April 2027 and marks the franchise's 10th year. The Jacksonville IceMen hockey schedule is heavy on South Division travel, and no opponent stirs the building like the Florida Everblades, the reigning Kelly Cup champions. Don't miss the home meetings with the Everblades during the 2026-27 season.

Jacksonville IceMen Kelly Cup Playoffs

Postseason hockey has been a habit here, with the club reaching the Kelly Cup playoffs in each of its four seasons through 2025. The breakthrough came in 2024, when Jacksonville won the first playoff series in franchise history before falling to Florida in the division finals. The 2025 run ended sooner, with a first-round exit. A Kelly Cup still eludes the franchise.
