Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a race track located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It played host to the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix from 1978-1986 and again from 1987 until today. The track has hosted numerous other races, including the NTT Indycar Series, Formula E, and different domestic racing series. It was originally named Ile Notre Dame Circuit and was built after the success of larger venues such as Mosport and Watkins Glen.
