The Jackson, previously and more famously known as the Jackson 5, was a pop group consisting of the Jackson brothers Jacki, Tito, Jermaine, Milo, and of course, the late Michael Jackson. The Jacksons were formed in 1964, right in the wake of the civil rights movement, and were pioneers in the integration of African Americans into society and into the mainstream entertainment industry. The Jacksons wrote poppy songs with catchy vocals and harmonies; their performances included trendsetting dance moves and stylish clothing that polished their act. They have been a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1997. They will go down as undoubtedly one of the best, most influential vocal groups in music history.
