Ohlsson also won first prize at the Busoni Competition, in Italy and the Montreal Piano Competition in Canada. In 1994, he was awarded the Avery Fisher Prize, and received the University Musical Society Distinguished Artist Award in 1998. Ohlsson has earned three Grammy Award nominations, winning one in 2008.
