The hype for BTS at MetLife doesn’t just begin on show day. “BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK” is a pre-show project featuring special events, experiences, and fan meet-ups throughout New York City before show weekend.

You can collect stamps around the city at locations like Arte Museum New York and Bank of Hope for the BTS Stamp Rally. Find unreleased and limited-edition merchandise and/or customize your current merch at pop-ups in the Korean Cultural Center and Grand Central Terminal. Where/When Is BTS Performing

BTS will take the stage at MetLife Stadium at 8:00 PM on August 1 and 2. Recently seeing worldwide attention and significance as the site of soccer’s World Cup Final, MetLife Stadium is not a new venue for BTS. Their World Cup Final performance took place in the same stadium just last weekend.

Stadium Bag Policy

MetLife Stadium enforces a strict bag policy for the safety and security of attendees. Review the bag restrictions, and measure your bag in advance to avoid an inconvenient situation upon arrival at the stadium. Small clutches or handbags smaller than 4.5” by 6.5” are permitted, as well as clear bags no larger than 12” by 6” by 12”. Guests are also permitted to bring one gallon-sized reusable storage bag and any bags deemed medically necessary.

Plan to travel light for the easiest entry experience, and expect whatever you bring to be searched by security upon arrival.

BTS Official Light Sticks

BTS Official Light Sticks are permitted within the stadium and are even sold and available for pickup at specific locations throughout the stadium grounds. Order your light stick before arriving at the stadium to ensure it's available for pickup once you arrive. Customize your BTS light stick before the show at the Korean Cultural Center from August 1 through 3 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Freebie Policy

MetLife has not published any specific freebie policy regarding the small fan items and gifts that are popular at BTS shows. According to normal permitted item guidelines, freebie items that fit into regulation-sized festival bags and clear backpacks are allowed. These items often include photo cards and keychains that fans exchange at the show.

When to Arrive at MetLife Stadium

BTS shows are much more than just concerts; they lean towards full fan conventions with the amount of external events, meet-ups, and merch stands bringing fans together well before the actual show begins. MetLife Stadium parking opens at 3:00 PM, at which time fans will no doubt begin arriving to line up for limited-edition merch and barricade spots in GA.

The gates of MetLife Stadium will open at 5:30 PM. Arrival by 6:30 or 7 PM will give you plenty of time to get through security, exchange freebies, and find your seats before the show starts at 8:00 PM. Arrive earlier, around door time or before, to have even more time interacting with fellow ARMY members and enjoying the collective excitement of the pre-show atmosphere.

BTS Opening Set

BTS concerts do not have traditional opening acts. Instead, BTS uses on-screen projections, dubbed VCRs, for openings and transitions between acts. Rather than watching an unknown opener, fans can sit back and enjoy more of their favorite K-pop artists.

The ARIRANG World Tour is divided into three acts and has featured a rotating selection of songs during the encore portion of the show. While the setlist can change slightly from night to night, fans attending the East Rutherford concerts can expect a mix of newer tracks, remixes, and classic BTS hits.
