Madison Square Garden Features

MSG underwent a $1 billion renovation from 2013-2014, with work mainly done in the summer months to not disrupt the NHL and NBA seasons. The renovations brought an array of exciting updates and features, including:

Two new pedestrian walkways, each suspended from the ceiling, provide unobstructed views for fans to look directly down onto the games being played below
A larger entrance with interactive kiosks, retail, climate-controlled space, and broadcast studio
New lightng and LED video systems with HDTV
Larger concourses, new seats, and additional on-site dining options

Madison Square Garden Directions

Madison Square Garden is located at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza (7th Avenue between W. 31st and W. 33rd Streets) in New York, NY.

Subway directions to Madison Square Garden:

MSG is located directly above Penn Station, making it easily accessible by taking the 1,2,3, A, C, or E trains to 34th Street/Penn Station.
You can also take the B, D, F, M, N, Q, and R trains to the 34th Street/Herald Square stop and walk one block west.
Taking the PATH from New Jersey will bring you to 33rd Street/Avenue of the Americas.
If you plan to arrive via Metro-North, take the Shuttle or the 7 train from Grand Central to Times Square, then transfer to the downtown 1, 2, or 3 trains to 34th Street/Penn Station

Taking the bus to Madison Square Garden:

Take MTA buses M4, M10, M16, M34, and Q32 to 7th Avenue/Penn Station

New Jersey to Madison Square Garden directions:

The NY Waterway provides a quick and easy ferry service to Midtown/W. 39th Street
From there, you can take a gree NY Waterway shuttle service to MSG
Ferry service available from Weehawken, Hoboken, Jersey City, and Belford
A typical ferry ride takes about 8-minutes to Midtown

Access-A-Ride at Madison Square Garden:

MSG has two established Access-A-Ride stops for guests planning on using a rideshare service. The pick-up/drop-off locations are:
7th Avenue southbound, just north of 31st Street (if picking up tickets at the box office, this is the location you will need to use)
8th Avenue and 33rd Street northbound
