The Amarillo Civic Center, in addition to the smaller Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, is a substantial element of the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, located on 401 South Buchanan Street in Amarillo, TX. Owned and operated by the City of Amarillo, the facility primarily caters to concert-goers, sports enthusiasts, ice hockey and other on-ice event spectators and is a common meeting place to over 300,000 residents around the Texas Panhandle.
At 340,000 square feet, the Amarillo Civic Center is a multi-faceted facility that includes the 4,870 seat coliseum and the 2,324 seat auditorium. Beyond the coliseum and auditorium are two ballrooms and two exhibit halls, in addition to several meeting rooms, all contributions to the diversity of needs in which the ACC can accommodate.
With easy interstate access, the Amarillo Civic Center is conveniently located in downtown Amarillo and is situated among 2000 hotel rooms within minutes of the facility. The coliseum serves as Amarillo’s premier concert venue with a 6,670 person capacity during music events. The smaller auditorium frequently features Broadway shows, and offers a variety of entertainment and special events as the center’s main live performance facility.
