Warren Haynes is a southern rock/blues rock and roll musician from Asheville, North Carolina. Warren Haynes has participated in a variety of high profile music projects, including his time spent in the Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule, the Grateful Dead, and several other less know, although notable projects.
Haynes began his successful musical career as a guitarists for The Allman Brothers Band. The ABB had a lengthy history of writing and recording before taking a hiatus. Destiny pulled the group back together, this time with the addition of Warren Haynes, who played on each of their albums (including gold certified ‘Where It All Begins’) released after the reunion. During this same time, Haynes went on to form his own band, with musical styles in the realm of southern rock combined with the improvisational aspect of jam bands such as Phish and the Grateful Dead. The project, known as Gov’t Mule, enjoyed a 15 year run, after which Haynes went on to pursue his solo career.
In addition to being a prolific lead guitarists, Warren Haynes is a talented singer/songwriter. His songs are featured on ABB recordings, throughout solo projects, and during his live performances.
