Born in Saint Michael, Barbados, Rihanna moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a recording career under the guidance of record producer Evan Rogers. Its first two singles, "Russian Roulette" and "Hard" peaked within the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, and "Rude Boy," peaked at number 1, making Rihanna the female artist with the most number ones of the century.
