Where to Stay: Lodging Options Near Red Rocks
Now that you have everything you need to know about Red Rocks and the venue itself, it's time to figure out where to stay if you're traveling. There is no shortage of options for hotels. You can stay in Golden or Morrison to stay close to the venue, or you can stay in downtown Denver to visit the city as well. After all, it's only about a 25-35 minute drive from downtown Denver to Red Rocks. Below, we've outlined our favorite hotels both close to the venue, and in the city of Denver, so you can find the best place to stay for you.
Hotels in Morrison and Golden
The closest hotel to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is a cute little bed & breakfast called the Cliff House Lodge B&B. It's located right in the heart of downtown Morrison and offers a perfect mountain lodge feel with easy access, just a three minute drive, to Red Rocks. Being in Morrison, it has easy access to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Morrison. If you want to fully embrace the Rocky Mountains, this lodge will be the perfect place to round out your mountain vibes.Plan ahead, though! This B&B sells out very quickly.
The next closest hotel to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is Origin Red Rocks, a Wyndham Hotel located at 18485 W Colfax Ave, Golden, CO, 80401. It's a modern 3.5 star hotel and is just 7 a minute drive to Red Rocks. It's conveniently located for easy access to a number of hiking trails and just a short drive to downtown Golden and Morrison. If you're looking for a more traditional hotel in close proximity to Red Rocks, then this will be the perfect spot for you.
Finally, if you're looking for a budget friendly hotel, the Best Western Plus in Denver West/Golden is a great option. Only a 10 minute drive to Red Rocks, this hotel is located just on the outskirts of downtown Golden. That makes it easy to explore everything Golden has to offer like the Coors Brewery and other restaurants and shops. This is going to be one of the least expensive hotels in the area, so this is a great option if you're looking to keep to a tight budget.
With regards to Red Rocks, these three hotels are three of the most popular for Red rocks patrons. However, there are a number of other hotels located in Evergreen, Lakewood, and Golden, so we recommend shopping around to find the best fit for you.
Staying in Denver
Staying in Denver is another great option for Red Rocks visitors. It's a short drive, uber, shuttle, or taxi ride to and from the venue, and most hotel options are going to be in downtown Denver.
The first option if you're looking for a luxurious option, the Ritz Carlton is always a great place to stay. It's one of the top hotels in Denver, located right in the heart of downtown. The hotel features Elway's Steakhouse (Owned by NFL legend, John Elway) on the lobby floor. The Ritz is only a block or two away from incredible restaurants and nightlife in Denver. This is the perfect hotel for a full luxurious experience.
If you aren't looking to break the budget and book a room at the Ritz, a great alternative is the Brown Palace. This is also a Marriott hotel and is just a few blocks away from the Ritz. It features a coffee shop, cigar lounge, tavern, and a fine dining restaurant on the lobby floor. Plus, on weekend evenings there is often live music in the lobby. It's an incredibly fun hotel that is close to great nightlife as well
If your goal is to have the easiest trip to Red Rocks without spending too much, a great secret in Denver is the Berkeley Hotel. This hotel is self service, so you check yourself in and out remotely. It's located on Tennyson St. which is one of the best parts of Denver in my opinion. It features 8 blocks of mom and pop shops, great local restaurants and bars, and a few beautiful parks. Plus the rooftop of the Berkeley Hotel has scenic views on the Rocky Mountains. This hotel is a few miles west of downtown as well, so it's only about 20 minutes to get to Red Rocks, so this is a great option for any trip to Colorado.
Wherever you stay, you can't go wrong. There are so many hotels in Denver, Morrison and Golden. These are our favorites, but shop around and find the perfect hotel that fits your needs and styles!
