It's important to plan ahead so you don't miss out on any of the event festivities!

Red Rocks is also closer to Denver, Morrison and Golden than you may think. Below we've estimated the travel time without traffic to help you plan ahead. We suggest you add time to the trip if it's rush hour, or if you will be arriving close to the show's start time.

Shuttles to Red rocks

Red Rocks Amphitheatre Official Public Shuttles: Red Rocks offers official shuttles from Denver to the venue. These shuttles are large air conditioned buses. Public shuttles usually cost $65 roundtrip and have multiple pick up spots. Shuttles are a great economic option compared to ride share or private shuttles, especially if you plan on drinking and don't want to drive and park at the venue. The pickup time for the shuttles varies depending on where you are being picked up. However, it is almost always 30-45 minutes before the event door time. The departure time to return is 30 minutes after the music ends. The pickup locations are below:

  • Union Station
  • Colorado Convention Center
  • Improper City
  • Avanti

Red Rocks Amphitheatre Official Private Shuttles:Red Rocks also offers private cars to attend Red Rocks shows. These are much more flexible and can pick you up and drop you off where you please on your own schedule. The caveat is that these are typically much more expensive and prices vary depending on where and when you would like to be picked up and dropped off, number of passengers, and number of pieces of luggage.

Bus to Show: Bus to Show is an unofficial shuttle service that specializes in shuttling communities of people to Red Rocks shows. Similar to the Red Rocks official shuttles, they have pick ups and drop offs from predetermined locations. Currently you can pick from the following pick up and drop off locations:

Bus to Show is about half the price of the Red Rocks Official Shuttles, running around $30-$35 for a round trip. However, these act more as party buses, and they are far less luxurious and may not include air conditioning, so be wary in the summer. This is a great option though and the bus rides are always fun. Check out the Bus to Show Calendar here!

Bus to Show also offers private charters. You can rent a bus for a red rocks show for $1500, which can be a great option for birthday parties, celebrations or if you just want to get a big group together for a Red Rocks show. You can book those private charters here.

Ride Share

Map of Red Rocks Park grounds, with details around all parking lots, entrances, exits, and ride share drop off spots.

Ride share is probably the most common mode of transportation for Red Rocks shows. The drop-off and pick-up locations vary depending on the time, so many concertgoers get confused. The drop-off locations are usually at the Trading Post, Upper South lot, or the Top Circle Lot. The Top Circle Lot is hands down the best spot to be dropped off, but each of these drop-off locations are very convenient and easy, because they are fairly close to the venue. From Downtown Denver it costs anywhere from $40-$60 usually to get to Red Rocks.

The pick-up location for Red Rocks shows is much much further away from the venue. It is located at the very base of the bark at Entrance 2 in the Jurassic Lot. It's an extremely long walk to get there and many attendees are fighting for a limited number of Ubers and Lyfts. Surge pricing is very prevalent at the end of shows and can cost over $100 to get back to Downtown Denver.

Taxis

Using taxis to get to Red Rocks is rare but not unheard of. However, many taxis will post up at the venue when the show ends and try to poach ride share users. The honest truth is it's much easier to get a taxi, you won't have to walk as far to find one, and costs the same or less than ride share. Many drivers are open to negotiating prices as well. If you used ride share to get to Red Rocks, getting a taxi to get home is frequently the best option. Drivers will be spread out across all the lots and are not difficult to find. Most of them are around the Lower South Lots, but there are many in the Top Circle Lot, Upper North Lot and Upper South Lots as well.
