Pre-Show Dining
One of the great things about Red Rocks is there is no shortage of food nearby for some pre-show dining experiences. Really, any restaurant will suffice for a meal before a visit to Red Rocks, but we've highlighted our favorites in Morrison and Golden.
Willy's Wings (Morrison)
Willy’s Wings is a phenomenal pre-show spot. Not only do they have some of the best wings in Colorado, they are conveniently located right in downtown Morrison. They are a a bit of a hidden gem, and it’s a perfect spot to get some great food in before your Red Rocks adventure begins. Personally, this is my favorite pre-show meal spot in Morrison.
Red Rocks Beer Garden (Morrison)
Red Rocks Beer Garden is a perfect outdoor drinking spot located just minutes from Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Located in downtown Morrison, this beer garden offers a quaint yet fun vibe in the outdoors. Voted as one of the top 10 best patios in Denver by Westword, this is a perfect place to pregame your show. However, they only serve local beer (Including Coors Banquet) with some non-alcoholic beers as well. They usually have a canned seltzer available, but no liquor or wine is sold here. Personally, I love to grab a bite to eat at Willy’s and then make a stop at Red Rocks Beer Garden before heading to Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Hungry Goat Scratch Kitchen and Wine Bar (Morrison)
Hungry Goat is another great spot in Morrison best described as an upper tier American Bistro. Some of their top menu items on the lunch menu include Thai Mussels, Black Smith Burger, and NY Style Pastrami on Rye. If you have a group of friends it's a great place to share some charcuterie and pre-show beverages before making the venture to the amphitheatre.
The Cow An Eatery (Morrison)
Finally, in Morrison we have The Cow An Eatery. Depending on when you go, the menu may vary as they have different menus for weekday "Linner" and Weekend "Linner". It’s a great spot to go with friends because they have a little bit of everything from tacos to burgers, sandwiches, mac & cheese, wraps and more!
The Golden Mill (Golden)
The Golden Mill is possibly the best overall pregame spot for a Red Rocks show. It’s a massive two story bar overlooking Clear Creek and the city of Golden. The beautiful views alone make this a special place. This bar also features self-serving taps for beer, cocktails, and wine, and there are restaurants located throughout the bar foodcourt-style. Restaurants include Sushi Sora, Rolling Smoke BBQ, Republik of Chicken, Tacos Al Chile, and Happy Cones. If you pick one spot to pregame, this is the place for you.
Dumpling Bay (Golden)
Dumpling Bay may not be a place you first think of when you’re planning to go to a Red Rocks show. However, the food here is absolutely delectable. With a variety of authentic Chinese dishes including dumplings, dim sum, noodles and rice dishes, you can’t go wrong here.
Atomic Cowboy/Denver Biscuit Company/Fat Sully's (Golden)
Atomic Cowboy is a Colorado favorite. In short, Atomic Cowboy is the bar, Fat Sully’s is the pizza place, and Denver Biscuit Company is the breakfast spot all wrapped into one incredible restaurant. Denver Biscuit Company has some of the most flavorful breakfast dishes you’ll ever taste. However, if you’re going before a Red Rocks show you probably won’t be eating off of the breakfast menu. Instead, the pizza, wings, and garlic knots from Fat Sully’s are fantastic, and the drinks from Atomic Cowboy are even better. With a wide selection of draft beers and cocktails, this a top destination to pregame a Red Rocks show.
Cheese Ranch Deli (Golden)
Lastly, in Golden there is Cheese Ranch Deli. It’s an artisanal deli located in the heart of Golden with gourmet food. With a wide assortment of cheeses, meats and hot/cold sandwiches, there’s not a bad thing on this menu. The menu is filled with quick and easy sandwiches that are perfect top grab and go before making your way to Red Rocks for a perfect evening show.
Ship Rock Grille (In Red Rocks Amphitheatre)
Last but not least, there’s Ship Rock Grille. Ship Rock Grille is the restaurant located in the visitor center at Red Rocks beneath the Top Plaza. They feature both lunch and dinner menus (very different menus) depending on the time of day. It’s a perfect place to pregame Red Rocks, because it’s in Red Rocks, and the food is delectable. It’s best to call ahead and make a reservation for Ship Rock Grille, especially on event days. Their hours vary greatly depending on the venue’s schedule. On concert days, the restaurant usually closes after lunch and in some cases before noon. However, if you have a concert ticket, you can still make a reservation and eat at the restaurant on concert evenings. We recommend making your reservation by calling 720-865-2494. The best parking lot to park in to visit Ship Rock Grille is the Top Circle Lot, however if you attend on an event day, we recommend sticking to your original parking plan.
Post-Show Food Vendors

Anybody who has been to Red Rocks knows that one of the best parts about a Red Rocks show is when you leave, there are food vendors outside almost every exit. On Monday-Saturday, the vendors will 99.9% of the time be Chick-Fil-A. After a long night of dancing, singing and indulging in whatever you indulge in, there's nothing better than a couple of chicken sandwiches waiting for you outside the gates of Red Rocks. They sell Chicken Sandwiches and Spicy Chicken Sandwiches for roughly $8-$9 plus tax, and they also have fries available for sale for $4-$5. On Sundays, the vendor rotates, because Chick-Fil-A does not serve on Sundays. In the map below, we've marked with a red circle all the locations where there is a Chick-Fil-A stand where you can indulge in 1 (or multiple) chicken sandwiches.
Red Rocks Tickets
The food at Red Rocks is some of the best food you'll find at a venue in the country.
