The Midland Theatre is an incredible event venue located in Newark, Ohio. This 1,800-seat theatre stands in the Newark Downtown Historic District and is a charming reminder of a time gone by. Built in 1914 by architect Frank Packard, this grand building originally held a theater-style live performance on its stage. Since then, it has hosted entertainers from all genres of music and comedy including jazz cabarets, classic rock concerts, and country music performances.

Throughout the years, the Midland Theatre has seen many changes with an extensive renovation in 1957 which included updates to the stage house. In 2004 further renovations resulted in changes such as the installation of stadium seating and an updated sound system. Today, it is known throughout Ohio as one of the premier event venues featuring live entertainment year-round.

This area of Ohio has so much to offer! There are parks with open fields, fishing spots at Silver Lake, and in the Licking River, trails for hiking – perfect for experiencing the beauty of fall foliage. Combining nature and culture is St. Luke's Episcopal Church with its 200-year-old cemetery, a burial site of Revolutionary War veterans, and one of Newark's early settlers Simon Girty.
