MGMT is an indie rock band formed in 2006 by Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser during their freshman year at Wesleyan University. Their major label debut album, Oracular Spectacular, garnered positive reviews from critics for its production style and musical direction. The track “Kids” was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2010, MGMT embarked on a U.S. tour in support of their second album, Congratulations. These performances culminated in their largest headlining show anywhere in the world at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which sold out. Throughout the years, the band has continued to perform and produce. Their most recent album, Little Dark Age, spurred a steady release of new singles from the record, the most recent being “Hand It Over” in January 2018.
