The Clarence Brown Theatre has been a source of dynamic theatrical experiences in Knoxville, Tennessee since it opened its doors in 1977. Located on the University of Tennessee campus, the theater is home to five annual professional productions and features touring productions from organizations all over the country. Beyond professional stage performances, Clarence Brown also holds multiple educational events, such as youth programs in playwriting and acting workshops for college students. Since its founding, it has grown to include two other performance spaces as well as a comprehensive movie series to showcase independent films from around the world.
