Guitarist Brad Hammonds put the group together in 2016 around a simple idea: run heavy rock through a horn section and see what survives. The Brass Against members now include baritone saxophonist Andrew Gutauskas, vocalists Liza Colby and Michael Cunio, and a front line of trumpets, trombone, and tuba. Brass Against Tour Dates

This fall's Brass Against tour opens at The Stone Church in Brattleboro, Vermont, on October 27, 2026, stops at 3S Artspace in New Hampshire on October 29, 2026, and closes at Phantom Power in Millersville, Pennsylvania, on November 5, 2026. Nine shows fit into ten days, threading New England and the mid-Atlantic, and most rooms between stay small: The Atlantis in Washington and Sound Waves in Atlantic City among them. It is a tighter circuit than 2022, when the band opened for Tool at an arena in Krakow in front of a crowd many times the size.
