Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City, NJ

The Boardwalk Hall Arena is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and is also commonly referred to as the Historic Atlantic City Convention Hall. Up until 1997 this arena was the primary convention center in the area. Although the Atlantic City Convention Center has taken over a lot of the events in the area, the Boardwalk Hall Arena still has its niche within the industry.

From 2001 to 2005 the Boardwalk Hall Arena was home to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, a local hockey team. For hockey games the arena can seat 10,500 people, and this expands even further for concerts to a capacity of 17,000.

Over the years the Boardwalk Hall Arena has played host of many high profile events. This includes the Miss America Pageant, WrestleMania, and the Democratic National Convention. The Atlantic 10 Conference is also planning to play their men's basketball tournament in this arena.

In 2001 the Boardwalk Hall Arena received $90 million in updates and renovation in order to make the venue more modern. These renovations led to the venue being named the "top grossing mid size arena" by Billboard Magazine. This is saying a lot considering all of the arenas of this size in the United States.

There have been many top notch concerts at the Boardwalk Hall Arena, but perhaps none bigger than the Beatles in 1964. In 1989, the Rolling Stones also held a concert in the arena that was one of their best ever.

Since 1929 the Boardwalk Hall Arena has been one of the top attractions in the area. Each year thousands of people pack this venue to cheer on their favorite sports team, or to watch a performer rock the house. It is safe to say that the Boardwalk Hall Arena is always going to be a timeless venue for a variety of events.
