Despite being raised in a home where music was banned, Americana artist Yola followed her passions, pursuing a career as a vocalist with her one-of-a-kind blend of vintage country, soul, and R&b. She initially got her start as a session singer in the UK before joining Phantom Limb as their front-woman. In 2016, she earned widespread critical praise for her solo EP Orphan Offering. Her full-length debut album, Walk Through Fire, arrived in 2019. Yola has contributed her vocals as a back up singer with several well known acts over the years, including Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, and Iggy Azalea.
