Wallace Wade Stadium is located in Durham, North Carolina, and serves as the home field for the Duke University Blue Devils football team. Although Duke is not well known for its football team, Wallace Wade Stadium has a lot to office. Since opening in October of 1929 this venue has hosted hundreds of great college football games.
One little known fact about Wallace Wade Stadium is that it served as the site for the 1942 Rose Bowl Game. This was due to the attack on Pearl Harbor which caused travel restrictions on the west coast.
The seating capacity at Wallace Wade Stadium is 33,941. As you can imagine, this makes Wallace Wade Stadium one of the smaller venues in major college football. But even with a small seating capacity it still has plenty to offer.
All in all, Wallace Wade Stadium may be small and relatively unknown, but it is still a great place to watch a college football game.
