Spokane Memorial Arena is located in Spokane, Washington, and is known to be one of the nicest mid size facilities in the area. This arena is also commonly referred to as Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, or simply Spokane Arena. Regardless of what you call this venue, the fact of the matter still remains that it has a lot to offer both performers and fans. Year in and year out this arena plays host of hundreds of different events.

There are two teams that currently use Spokane Memorial Arena to play their home games. They include the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL, and the Spokane Shock of AF2. While Spokane Memorial Arena does not have any major sports tenants, it does not have any problems staying busy year in and year out.

This multipurpose venue was opened in 1995, and cost approximately $45 million to build. For basketball games Spokane Memorial Arena has a capacity of 12,210 people. For hockey and arena football this number decreases a bit to slightly more than 10,000.

One of the nicest features of Spokane Memorial Arena is the Star Theater. This is a 5,900 seat theater inside the arena that hosts events such as family shows, concerts, and Broadway musicals.

Many popular musicians have played at Spokane Memorial Arena. They include Elton John, Garth Brooks, Dave Matthews Band, The Eagles, Creed, Cher, and many more.

Although Spokane Memorial Arena is not the largest venue in the country, it still has a lot to offer. Ask any fan who has ever seen an event at this arena and they will be sure to tell you how much fun they had.
