Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa Barbara, CA

One of California’s most celebrated outdoor venues, the Santa Barbara Bowl was built in 1936 as the home for the final pageant of Old Spanish Days Fiesta, an annual historic celebration in Santa Barbara. Its original revolving wooden stage was washed out by heavy rains in 1939, and the stage was replaced with a concrete slab that remained in place until renovations were done in 2001. An amphitheater with 4,562 seats for Reserved Floor and 4,974 for General Admission Standing Room Only, plus 36 handicap accessible seats, Santa Barbara’s amphitheater provides an intimate musical experience because of its size and its extraordinary stage pavilion with cut-stone piers and a copper roof.

Each season, the Santa Barbara Bowl plays host to an average of 27 concerts, attracting thousands of music fans from across the country. Big-name acts like Joni Mitchell, The Who, Dolly Parton, Shakira, Katy Perry, Paul Simon, and Sting are just a few of the luminaries who have performed at the Santa Barbara Bowl. If you are planning to watch a concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl, Event Tickets Center offers a wide selection of tickets to choose from.

The Santa Barbara Bowl is open for concerts from approximately April through October. During these months, it is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. There are no tours available.
