Memorial Stadium is located in Lawrence, Kansas, and serves as the home field for the Kansas University Jayhawks football team. Since opening in October of 1921 this venue has hosted hundreds of college football games. Many feel that this is one of the hidden gems of the Big 12 Conference.
Memorial Stadium is dedicated to the students of the school who died during World War I. Although there are several Memorial Stadiums in the United States, this is surely one of the best.
The seating capacity at Memorial Stadium is 50,071. This is not the largest venue in the conference, but it is plenty big enough to make for a great fan atmosphere. For this reason, Memorial Stadium is always packed during Jayhawks home games.
All in all, Memorial Stadium is a great venue that has a lot to offer. Despite its old age, plenty of updates have kept it on par with the competition.
