The Lyceum Theater in Arrow Rock, MO is the United States' oldest operating theater. Opened in 1841, the two-story brick building has hosted hundreds of performances over the years, including plays, concerts, lectures, dances, and vaudeville acts. In 1935, the state of Missouri purchased it for preservation into a National Historic Site and it has since gone through renovations to ensure an optimal viewing experience for up to 2185 people.

This quaint little town of about 110 people is rich in culture and history. Founded by Lewis Hulliday in 1829, its downtown area features historic buildings like Arrow Rock Taverns and Gocio Grocers. Everyday street fairs are held, like coffee & music and the Arrow Rock Country Fair, with artisans and musicians performing live music. Tourists can also explore Sappington Cemetery with its 6 acres of beauty or the Madison County wineries for a glass of their local wine.
