Kinnick Stadium is located in Iowa City, Iowa, and serves as the home field for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes football team. This venue opened for business in 1929, and has been hosting college football games ever since. From 1929 to 1972 this venue was known as Hawkeye Stadium. Then in 1972 it was renamed Kinnick Stadium after Nile Kinnick; the only Hawkeye to ever win the Heisman Trophy.
