Sam Beam is a singer-songwriter known professionally by his stage name Iron & Wine. Beam had begun to write songs during his time as a film and cinematography professor at the University of Miami and Miami International University of Art & Design. After seven years of writing songs behind the scenes of his career, he began making demos and was discovered shortly thereafter.
