Hersheypark Stadium is part of Hershey Park, a major family theme park located between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which hosts major league sports events, concerts, and festivals. The football and soccer stadium also hosts PIAA High School state championships, regional high school sports events, and more. Hersheypark Stadium opened on May 18, 1939 as part of Mr. Hershey's "Great Building Campaign" which provided jobs to nearly 600 unemployed skilled workers in the Great Depression.
