Gerald J. Ford Stadium is a stadium located in University Park, Texas. The stadium is used primarily for football, and serves as the home of the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Mustangs. Gerald J. Ford Stadium opened its doors in August 2000, welcoming up to 32,000 fans into its unique, horseshoe-shaped configuration. The stadium has undergone renovations over the past two decades, including the addition of new video and audio systems, turf replacement, and upgrades to the locker rooms, meeting rooms and more.
