While it shares a name with the famous theme park, Walt Disney Theater is actually located inside the Dr. Phillips Center Complex in downtown Orlando, FL. It’s a hot spot for concerts, musicals, comedy acts, special events and Broadway shows. Walt Disney Theater is the largest venue in the complex, with three levels of seating and a limited amount of box seats. The state-of-the-art theater features plush seats, wide aisles that are spacious enough for guests in wheelchairs to maneuver, more restroom facilities, excellent sightlines, great acoustics and an expandable stage, making it one of the best places to watch a show or concert in Central Florida.
Since it opened in 2014, Walt Disney Theater has hosted a number of popular musicals including Kinky Boots, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Matilda The Musical. The theater is also set to host Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic The King and I.
Lobby doors of the theater open an hour prior to showtime, and theater doors open 30 minutes before the show. While waiting for the theater doors to open, guests may enjoy mingling at the impressive Della Phillips Grand Lobby. Snacks and beverages are available at the theater’s two concession areas, Harry’s Bar or Ravago Terrace Bar. Cellphones are permitted in the building but cannot be used to take pictures, and guests must refrain from using mobile devices during the show.
