Breakdown-heavy deathcore band Chelsea Grin emerged from Salt Lake City, Utah in 2007. The group released their debut album Desolation of Eden a few years later in 2010, driving home their killer blend of death metal and post-hardcore. Subsequent releases including 2014’s Ashes to Ashes and 2018’s Eternal Nightmare saw the band explore some uncharted territory, introducing elements of symphonic and progressive metal into the mix. Chelsea Grin have cited extreme metal and metal bands like Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Emmure, A Perfect Circle, Slayer, and Megadeth among their biggest musical influences. They have released five full-length albums to date and self-identify as a deathcore band.
